Hi, I’m Stacy.
Since my trip to Chaing Mai meeting the lovely Chrissy on a Counselling Retreat, I have made many changes to my life.
My life was ok but I was massively unfulfilled and really wanted to review where things were going and sort out a load of baggage from the past.
I returned home feeling confident and happy armed with a Change Plan that I put together with Chrissy in the gardens at the lovely Puripunn Hotel.
Since I got back to London I have started volunteering with underprivileged kids. I’m on my 5th week and the experience has really inspired me to want to consider a career change from my day job working for a large corporate company. I’ve also just signed up to help the homeless this Christmas, raising money and organising donations of clothes and food. It makes me feel good to be giving back something, to be part of something important. I try to use all my spare time in a more fulfilling & meaningful way and it makes such a difference to my life.
My life plan, for the first time ever, really is working out.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. I plan to spend a couple of weeks in an orphanage in Cambodia which was arranged through contacts I met in Chiang Mai. Later on in the year I’m heading of to spend time in another orphanage in India. I can’t believe I’m actually doing it all.
I never thought I would be doing what I’m doing now, or even find the time from my busy “corporate” life to fit everything in. Actually it isn’t as daunting once you get going, and my time in Chiang Mai certainly helped me get moving.
I’m very interested to hear how others are getting on since they returned from Chiang Mai so keep sharing your stories & progress in the facebook group. See you there!
Thanks to all of you.
Stacy
